Mahindians UAE is proud to announce the donation of AED 3,900 worth of hockey equipment to the Mahinda College Hockey Team, as part of our continued efforts to uplift and support sports at our alma mater.
🏑 Items Donated:
- 1 Full Goalkeeper Set
- 10 Senior Hockey Sticks
- 10 Junior Hockey Sticks
This initiative was launched following a heartfelt request from Mr. Aruna Priyananda, Master in Charge of Hockey, who reached out to us explaining the challenges the team was facing. Despite their strong performances and impressive victories, the team had been training and playing with outdated and unsafe equipment, putting players at risk.
Mr. Priyananda shared an official letter from the college along with the lowest available quote for the required items. Moved by their dedication and potential, Mahindians UAE members came together to support this valuable cause.
Sports like hockey often go under-supported, yet they build discipline, resilience, and school pride. This contribution is a step toward encouraging young Mahindians to continue their success safely and confidently.
