Sharjah, UAE – March 15, 2025 – Mahindians UAE delivered a commanding performance in the 15th Lovers’ Quarrel – UAE, securing a resounding 116-run victory over Richmondites UAE in the 1st XI T20 encounter at DCS Cricket Grounds, Sharjah. This annual alumni showdown between Mahinda College and Richmond College witnessed Mahindians UAE asserting their dominance with an all-round team effort. Kanishka Piumal was named Man of the Match for his stellar contributions with both bat and ball.

1st XI T20 Encounter – Mahindians UAE in Complete Control

Opting to bat first, Mahindians UAE posted a formidable total of 190/9 in their 20 overs. Namith Gimsara led the charge with a blistering 59 off 35 balls, earning the Best Batsman of the Match award. Kanishka Piumal chipped in with a valuable 34 off 23 balls, while Ajith Sooriarachchige (18* off 7 balls) and Ravine Menaka (17 off 12 balls) provided crucial cameos to set up a strong target.
